nOTE: Hand wound spools from bulk line are likely to
become tangled more frequently than BLACK+DECKER
factory wound spools. For best results, factory wound spools
are recommended.

Do not overfill spool. The spool holds 20 feet (6 m) of line.
1. Disconnect the plug from the power source.
2. Start with an empty BLACK+DECKER RS‑136 spool
3. Locate the two holes
4. Insert the end of the bulk cutting line
1/8" (3 mm) into the one of the holes
winding the line around the spool.

5. Wind the cutting line onto the spool

nOTE: Enure to wind the line neatly and in layers. Do
not crisscross.
6. When the wound cutting line reaches the recesses
on the spool, cut the line leaving approximately
4" (102 mm) of extra line.
