4. OPERATION
-
The temperature inside the freezer is regulated by a thermostat setting selector (Fig. 3).
-
The levels on the selector do not match the exact temperature, but indicate the following:
-
1 (refrigeration mode): temperature of 5°C.
-
2-4 (freezer mode): temperature between -12°C and -18°C.
-
4-7 (freezer mode): temperature between -18°C and -24°C.
-
7 (fast freeze option): temperature below -24°C.
-
Adjust the temperature according to the situation of use.
Warning
The actual temperature of the compartment has an error margin of ±3°C compared to the
set temperature, which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the normal use of the
product.
Fast freezing (below -24°C)
If you select the fast freezing option, you must keep the freezer in continuous operation, the
food will cool down quickly.

Refrigerator mode
-
When you change the refrigerator mode to another, you must remove the food to prevent
it from spoiling when frozen.
-
If you switch from freezer mode to refrigeration mode, you must follow the steps below:
1.
Set the thermostat selector switch to refrigeration mode.
2.
Remove all frozen food from the freezer compartment and let it empty for an hour.
3.
Introduce the desired food.
Frozen food storage
Commercially pre-frozen food should be stored according to the supplier instructions.
To preserve the quality of frozen food, you should remember the following:
1.
Place packages in the freezer as soon as possible after purchase.
2.
Do not exceed the best-before or use-by dates on the packaging.
Freezing of fresh food
-
Place fresh food to be frozen close to the side walls to ensure fast freezing and away from
already frozen food, if possible.
-
Never exceed the maximum capacity. Do not freeze large pieces at once.
-
The quality of food is best preserved when it is frozen to the core as quickly as possible.
-
Do not mix frozen food with fresh food.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
-
Disconnect the freezer from the mains before cleaning it.
-
Never use any sharp abrasive instruments, soap, household cleaners, detergents and wax
polish for cleaning.
-
Use lukewarm water to clean the freezer compartment and wipe it dry with a cloth.
-
Once the inside of the freezer is at room temperature, you can use a damp cloth with a
solution of one teaspoon of baking soda with one litre of water to wipe the inside and dry it.
-
You should regularly remove the accumulated ice with a plastic scraper. A large
accumulation of ice will have a negative effect on the performance of the freezer.
-
If the freezer is not to be used for a long period of time, turn it off, remove all food, clean it
and leave the door slightly open.
-
Check the door gaskets regularly to ensure that they are clean and free of food particles.
Warning
Never use water to wash the compressor, wipe it with a dry cloth after cleaning it to prevent
rusting.
Defrost
-
Defrost the freezer twice a year or when a frost layer of about 7 mm (1/4") has formed.
