check the day/night indicator at 3 o'clock (HOME) to make
sure that the two superposed hour hands indicate the cor-
rect time at home and that the day/night indicator correctly
displays daytime or nighttime hours, for instance 6 a.m. or
6 p.m.
You can set the local time hour hand to a given
time zone as follows:
– If you are traveling eastbound, press the pusher
at 8 o'clock to move the hand clockwise by as
many hours as the two time zones are apart
(press once for +1 hour).
– If you are westbound, press the pusher at
10 o'clock to move the hand counterclockwise
by as many hours as the two time zones are
apart (press once for –1 hour)
The skeletonized hand continues to indicate home
time and the day/night indicator at 3 o'clock ref-
erenced to this hand (HOME, shows you whether
it is momentarily day or night in your home time
zone (normal place of residence or work).
If you continue your journey and pass through
further time zones, simply repeat the procedure
described above with the + or – pushers.
As soon as you have returned to your home time
zone (normal place of residence or work), simply
press the + or – pushers as many times as needed
to superpose the two hour hands again. Make sure
the two day/night indicators (HOME and LOCAL)
indicate the same time of day and have the same
color.
