Safety Information
Operation
Before the instrument is switched on, all protective ground terminals, extension
cords, auto-transformers, and devices connected to it must be connected to a
protective ground socket. Any interruption of the protective grounding will cause
a potential shock hazard that could result in serious personal injury. Whenever it
is likely that the protection has been impaired, the instrument must be made
inoperative and be secured against any intended operation.
To operate the instrument safely:
Do not remove any cover of the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer instrument.
Avoid any maintenance of the instrument under voltage.
Do not let liquid drip into the instrument. It could cause a shock or it could
damage the instrument.
Do not replace components of the instruments (e.g. electrode cartridge) with
power turned on.
Do not operate the instrument in the presence of flammable gases or fumes.
Operation of any electrical instrument in such an environment constitutes a
definite safety hazard.
Do not install substitute parts or make any unauthorized modification to the
instrument.
