Contrast disc

You can use the black/white disc in order to enhance the contrast
of the image when using the incident illumination.
If you want to look at bright opaque objects, place the disc with
the black side up. (Fig. 8)

Inserting the batteries

(Models with rechargeable batteries)
• Before you start using the instrument, you must insert the
rechargeable batteries.
1. Open the battery cover (located on the bottom of the
instrument) and insert the provided batteries, taking care to
respect the polarities. (Fig. 9-10)
2. When finished, close the battery cover again.

Charge Battery LED

(Only SFX models)
This LED ① shows the actual charge level of the batteries. (Fig.
11)
LED ON (green): batteries charged
LED OFF (no color): batteries to be recharged.
The status of the LED is independent of whether the power
supply unit is connected or not.
