13. OPERATIONS IN EMERGENCY MODE
ATTENTION:
Access to the Emergency Mode is PASSWORD protected: 1 2 3 4 (by default). You can change this password via the PA Manager
software.
The destination of all the emergency messages will be the EMERGENCY GROUP. The EMERGENCY GROUP is defined when you
configure the system via the PA Manager software.
13.1. Enter the EMERGENCY MODE
1. Press the EMERGENCY button.
2. Using the numeric keypad, enter the access code for the
Emergency Mode.
3. Press the OK button. The EMERGENCY button illuminates
to indicate that the paging desk is in EMERGENCY MODE.
After one minute has passed since the activation of the
emergency mode, it will be necessary to enter the password
again to continue interacting with the microphone desk. This
logout time can be configured through the PA Manager
software.
13.2. Activate a WARNING message
1. Press the WARNING button (the system must be in
emergency mode). The WARNING button indicator light
illuminates and the message begins to play.
2. Press the RESET button to stop the message. The system
exits the Emergency Mode.
If an EVACUATION message is played while the WARNING
message is playing, the WARNING message will stop.
If a live voice message is sent while the WARNING
message is playing, the WARNING message stops playing
while the live voice announcement is being broadcast.
When the live voice message ends, the WARNING
message will automatically resume playing.
13.3. Activate an EVACUATION message
1. Press the EVACUATION button (the system must be in
emergency mode). The EVACUATION button indicator
light illuminates and the message begins to play.
2. Press the RESET button to stop the message. The system
exits the Emergency Mode.
The EVACUATION message takes priority over the
WARNING message: the activation of the evacuation
message stops the WARNING message.

DC-800ETH
If a live voice message is sent while the EVACUATION
message is playing, the EVACUAITON message stops
playing while the live voice announcement is being
broadcast. When the live voice message ends, the
EVACUATION message will automatically resume playing.
13.4. Sending a live voice message in
EMERGENCY MODE
1. Press the TALK (or GONG+TALK if you wish to send a
message preceded by a pre-announcement tone) key to
initiate a live voice message. You can begin speaking
when the TALK indicator illuminates.
2. To finish the broadcast, release the TALK (or GONG +
TALK) key.
Live voice announcements take precedence over an
EVACUATION message and in turn, an EVACUATION message
takes precedence over a WARNING message.
13.5. Exiting the EMERGENCY MODE
Press the RESET key.. The EMERGENCY push-button light goes
out to indicate that the system is no longer in the
EMERGENCY MODE.
13.6. Systems
DC-800ETH paging desk
In systems with more than one DC-800ETH, when one of the
paging desks activates the emergency mode, the rest of the
paging desks indicate this status (by having the EMERGENCY
push-button illuminated). These other paging desks will not
have the keypads enabled. In order to interact with these
paging desks, the Emergency Mode must be entered first.
