9.1 Instructions for use of the RI900 patient lift
1. Approach the person to be lifted and position the lifter as close as possible to the person
to be lifted, possibly opening the legs of the device if necessary
2. Before lifting, lock the rear wheel brakes
3. Keep the person centered between the legs of the base and always facing the caregiver
4. Carefully fasten the attachment points of the harness to the hooks on the lifting arms (see par. 8.3)
5. Operate the patient lifting actuator using the appropriate "▲" button on the control unit
or on the remote control, lifting the patient to the necessary height, keeping him in the
frontal position towards the caregiver.
6. Unlock the rear wheels and transfer the patient
7. Before starting the descent of the harnessed person, lock the rear wheels again
8. Activate the patient lowering actuator using the appropriate "▼" button on the control unit
or on the remote control, lowering the patient to the necessary height.
NOTE: During normal operation of the lift it is possible to open or close the legs of the lift
electrically using the special keys on the control unit and remote control dedicated to opening
and closing the legs. The opening or closing operation legs can be performed both with the
harnessed patient (with load) and without patient (without load).
WARNING!
ALWAYS CHECK THE CORRECT SITTING POSITION OF THE LIFTED PERSON
DURING THE WHOLE MOVEMENT!
During the descent, avoid that the patient may encounter an obstacle that prevents the
downward movement of the same. In that case, let the patient go up again and remove the
cause of the impediment of descent.
9.2 Instructions for use of RI900 patient lift with RIA910 lifting arm
1. Approach the person to be lifted and position the lifter as close as possible to the person
to be lifted, possibly opening the legs of the device if necessary
2. Before lifting, lock the rear wheel brakes
3. Keep the person centered between the legs of the base and always facing the caregiver
4. Carefully fasten the attachment points of the harness to the hooks on the lifting sling
5. Activate the patient lifting actuator using the appropriate "▲" button on the control unit or
on the remote control, lifting the patient to the necessary height
6. Unlock the rear wheels and transfer the patient
7. Before starting the descent of the harnessed person, lock the rear wheels again
8. Activate the patient lowering actuator using the appropriate "▼" button on the control unit
or on the remote control, lowering the patient to the necessary height.
