Press MENU V on the VCR.
"RS-485" and "RS-232C" appear in the display on
the VCR. Select "RS-232C" by pressing MENU +
or –.

Press MENU V on the VCR.
Set the transmission speed (baud rate) to 19200,
9600, 4800 or 2400 bps by pressing MENU + or –.
Example: The display shows that the transmission
speed is set to 19200 bps.

Press COUNTER RESET button on the VCR.
The setting you made will be executed and the
display will return to the normal display.
Setting the transmission mode
for an RS-485 Interface

Install the SVT-RS100 into the VCR following the
procedures on page 4.

Press POWER (or ON) button on the VCR to turn
on the power.

Press the COUNTER RESET button on the VCR
for 3 seconds or more to enter the transmission
setting mode.
Note
Make sure that no cassette is in the VCR.

Press MENU V on the VCR to set the transmission
mode.
Each time you press MENU V, the mode changes
as follows: selecting RS-485 or RS-232C
connector to be used, setting the address (only
when using the RS-485 connector) and setting the
transmission speed (baud rate).

Press MENU V on the VCR.
"RS-485" and "RS-232C" appear in the display on
the VCR. Select "RS-485" by pressing MENU +
or –.

Press MENU V on the VCR.
Set the address between 0 and 127 by pressing
MENU + or –.
Example: The display shows that the address is set
to 124.

Press MENU V on the VCR.
Set the transmission speed (baud rate) to 19200,
9600, 4800 or 2400 bps by pressing MENU + or –.
Example: The display shows that the transmission
speed is set to 19200 bps.

Press COUNTER RESET button on the VCR.
The setting you made will be executed and the
display will return to the normal display.
