Bit 7: PLAY MODE; the VCR is in playback mode.
6: FF MODE; the VCR is in fast-forward mode.
5: REW MODE; the VCR is in rewind mode.
4: STOP MODE; the VCR is in stop mode.
3: RVS PLAY; the VCR is in reverse playback
mode.
2: EJECT; the VCR is ejecting a tape.
1: REC MODE; the VCR is in recording mode.

Fifth byte
Bit 7: 0
6: 0
5: CUE MODE; the VCR is fast-forwarding
during playback.
4: REVIEW MODE; the VCR is rewinding
during playback.

2: 0
1: PAUSE MODE; the VCR is in recording
pause mode.
0: STILL MODE; the VCR is in playback pause
or frame-by-frame mode.

RS-232C Commands

T/L TABLE ON (F6H)
Starts controlling the VCR.
T/L TABLE OFF (F7H)
Stops controlling the VCR.
ALARM IN (06H)
The VCR returns this command when an alarm signal
is received.

CASSETTE OUT (03H)
The VCR returns this command when the cassette is
ejected.

RS-485 Commands

GROUP SET (6CH)
Divides into groups (puts group numbers). In response
to this command, the VCR returns the group number in
2 bytes.
Example: Setting to group 5

GROUP CHECK (6DH)
Returns the group number.
Example: When the group number is 2
TXD 6D
RXD 04 00
GROUP CLEAR (6EH)
Clears the group number. In response to this
command, the VCR returns the group number in 2
bytes.
Example: When the group number is 8

SET ON (7CH)
Turns on the VCR no matter if it is turned on or off.

SET OFF (7DH)
Turns off the VCR no matter if it is turned on or off.

STATUS LOG 1 (BFH)
This is the header of the status information that the
VCR automatically returns to the controller when you
operate the VCR using the RS-485 connector.
STATUS LOG 2 (BEH)
This is the header of the status information that the
VCR automatically returns to the controller when you
operate the VCR using the RS-485 connector.
