One useful function of RDS is to match certain themes to radio stations. This
makes it easier to select radio stations which correspond to your personal interests.
Select one of the 15 different themes by pressing the stop button " ".
Then press the "+" button immediately. The automatic search starts. A radio station
is now sought which is currently transmitting a program on your selected theme.
Timer (Alarm-Clock Function)
With this function you can program the machine to switch itself on and off automati-
cally at a certain time.
Please note that the following sequence has to be carried out in quick succession
as the setting automatically resets after a few seconds!
1. Select the type of operation, CD, radio or aux with the function buttons
(CD/SELECT, FM/MW, AUX)
2. Press the MODE button until "0:00
3. Press the MEMORY button. The first "0" in the display flashes (hours).
4. Using the buttons "+" and "-" set the hour in which the machine should switch
itself on. Confirm this with the MEMORY button. Now the minutes flash in the
display.
5. Set the minutes with the buttons "+" and "-" and confirm this again with the
MEMORY button.
6. Press the MODE button. The same display as above now appears, i.e. "0:00",
but additionally the words "
same manner as the switch-on time above.
7. After you have set the switch-on and switch-off times, press the TIMER button
and switch the machine to the stand-by mode using the POWER button. The
type of operation display (9) lights up in red. The music centre switches itself on
and off automatically at the set times.
The TIMER button is only located on the music centre itself. The timer function can
therefore not be activated using the remote control.
Sleep Timer
When the music centre is switched on, the SLEEP timer is activated by the SLEEP
button. When the SLEEP button is pressed briefly, the figure "90" appears in the
display (5).
The music centre switches itself off automatically after 90 minutes. If you keep the
SLEEP button pressed, the number of minutes is reduced in ten-minute steps.
It is therefore possible to set a switch-off time of between 90 and 10 minutes.
