On the left side of the machine you will find the headphones socket (3). When
headphones are connected, the loudspeakers are switched off. When removing the
headphones plug ensure that the volume of the music centre is turned to low.
Otherwise the loudspeakers may be destroyed if the volume is too high!
Preset Equaliser
With the EQ button it is possible to select four different types of sound and therefore
adapt the sound to your personal requirements.
Press once:
Press twice:
Press three times: "POP" appears in the display the base and medium frequencies
Press four times:
When the machine is switched on, the type of sound that was set when it was last
switched off is retained!
Inserting CDs
1. Press the CD/SELECT button. The music centre switches to the CD mode.
Important: Do not open or close the door to the CD drawer (1) by hand. This will
damage the mechanism. If in exceptional circumstances, for example in the
case of a power cut, it becomes necessary to open or close the door of the CD
drawer by hand, this should be done extremely slowly and carefully without the
application of any force.
2. Press the OPEN-CLOSE button (4) in order to open the door of the CD drawer (1).
3. Insert CDs into one or several drives (2) so that the label on the CD is pointing
to the front. The CD should only be touched on the edges.
4. Press the OPEN-CLOSE button (4) in order to close the door of the CD drawer
(1) again.
In order to change or remove a CD, continue in the way described above.
Playing the CD(s)
1. Below drives 1-3 you will find the play buttons (6). Each button controls the drive
above it. After you have inserted the CD(s) and closed the CD drawer, the CD
player reads the CD(s). The number of tracks and the overall playing time of the
first CD that has been read appear in the display (5).
2. Press the play button (6) of the CD which you would like to hear. The music cen-
tre plays the CD, starting with the first track.
3. Playback stops as soon as the end of the CD is reached.
