When the ignition switch is locked:
The system can be operated within the
shaded area shown in the illustration.
About 2 m (6.6 ft)
Anyone can unlock the ignition switch and
start the engine if your Honda SMART Key is
within operating range of your scooter, even
if you are on the other side of a wall or
window. If you are away from your scooter
but your Honda SMART Key is still within
operating range, deactivate the Honda
SMART Key system.
