If the test leads are left in the terminals during replacement
of the fuses, they may generate a risk of electric shock.
To replace the fuse:
remove test leads from the terminals,
set the rotational function selector at OFF,
lift the foot at the back of the meter,
use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three screws fixing the
rear cover,
remove the cover,
gently pry and remove the blown fuse from its bracket,
install a new fuse,
put on the cover and tighten the fixing screws.
Always use fuses ceramics of the same type (0.5 A/600 V
quick acting fuses for the range of µA and mA and
10 A/600 V quick acting fuses for the range of 10 A).
To avoid electric shock, do not use the meter if the fuse
compartment cover is not in place or is not properly fas-
