3. Connecting the Transformer
It is possible to use a special plug for power on the back of the Mobile Station and to
use the other special plug for powering solenoid accessories (turnouts, signals, etc.).
(see Figure 5).
However, these magnetic articles must not be connected electrically to the rails. They
include the level crossing, contact rails or shunting switches, fixed shunting switch
drives with lighting in M or K rails, signals with earth connection to the rails etc. All
these products require a separate transformer for power.
The connections for a turnout mechanism are shown in Figure 3.
The connections for a light bulb that is constantly on and that can be turned on/off
from a control box are shown in Figure 2.
The connections for a signal can be found in Figure 4.
A light or solenoid accessory must never be connected to two
different transformers at the same time
If two solenoid accessories are connected to the same circuit track or
control box, then both solenoid accessories must be powered from the
same transformer.
3.3 Connections from the 66181 Power Pack to the
Mobile Station
The 66181 power pack is solely designed for supplying power to the 60652 Mobile
Station. No other users may be connected to this power pack. This power pack may
only be connected to the C Track feeder track with an integrated connector
box (item no. 24088) or to the connector box (item no. 60115) for K or M Track
(Figure 12).
To make connections, simply insert the jack plug from the connecting cable into the
right socket on the connector box. The Mobile Station is connected to the 10-pin
socket on the left side. A second Mobile Station, which is to be used as an additional
controller, can be connected to the 7-pin socket in the middle of the connector box
by means of an adapter cable (item no. 610479). (=> Figure 10).
Caution! Two power packs and 2 Mobile Stations may not be connected simultane-
ously to a layout through 2 connector boxes. (=>Figure 11).
