Additional safety instructions for sanders
WARNING!
Inhalation of or contact with toxic dusts produced by sanding surfaces with
lead-based paint, wood and metals can be harmful to the health of the user and third
parties.
a) Use this tool only for dry sanding work. Penetration of water into a power tool increases
the risk of electric shock.
b) Prevent the presence of bystanders if the work produces sparks. Remove any
combustible material from the work area. When sanding metallic materials, sparks may be
produced.
c) Caution: Fire hazards! Avoid overheating the sanded workpiece and the tool itself. Always
empty the dust bag before work breaks. Under certain unfavorable conditions (such as
sparks produced by sanding metallic materials), the accumulated debris in the dust bag,
microfilter or paper bag (or in the vacuum filter) can ignite, especially when mixed with
traces of varnish, polyurethane or other chemical agents, or when they remain hot after long
periods of work.
d) When operating the tool, always hold it firmly with both hands, maintaining a secure
posture. Use both hands to control the tool better.
e) Secure the workpiece. Using clamps or vises provides greater security to hold the piece.
