The following symptoms does not indicate a malfunction
Symptom
Unit does not operate immediately
when the air conditioner is restarted.
Sound of running water can be heard
during operation.
Creaking noise can be heard when
start or stop the operation.
The room has a peculiar odour
during operation.
Mist is emitted during cooling
operation (at places where large
quantities of oil is used.)
Dew formed near the outlet vents
during cooling.
The unit switches to FAN operation
and the air become humid.
The air being blown out is cool.
The air conditioner starts
automatically when the power
resumed after a power failure.
During heating operation (Heat Pump type only)
Airflow does not start immediately
after operation is started.
("PRE HEAT" appears in the remote
control display.)
Operation stops occasionally.
("DEFROST" appears in the remote
control display.)
Operation does not stop immediately
after you pressed the OFF/ON
button.
Changes in fan speed.
Outdoor unit (Heat Pump type only)
During heating, some noise may be
heard.
During heating, steam is emitted
occasionally.
Cause
• Once the air conditioner is stopped, it will not be operated for approximately 3
minutes. This is to protect the unit.
• This is caused by the refrigerant flowing inside the unit.
• This is caused by the panel expanding or contracting due to the changes in
temperature.
• This may be a dump smell emitted by the walls, carpet, furniture or clothing in
the room.
• The cold airflow causes the oil vapour etc. to condense.
• The cold airflow causes the moisture in the air to condense.
• This happens when the room temperature reaches the set temperature,
operation switches to FAN mode and the humidity increases.
• This is because cooling operation is running in a low fan speed. If operating the
indoor unit for a long period of time, use dry operation to lower the humidity.
• This is a normal operation as there is a auto restart operation function. The
operation will resume based on the previous settings.
• The unit is warming up to provide warm air.
Wait until the unit is warmed up.
• The system is defrosting because frost has formed in the outdoor unit.
This process can take up to 12 minutes to complete. Please wait for a while.
• This is because the unit is discharging heat.
Operation will stop automatically after approximately 60 seconds.
• When the room warms up and the temperature reaches the remote control set
temperature, the fan speed will switch to LOW and STOP automatically.
When the room temperature drops again, the fan speed will return to the remote
control settings.
• This is due to the changes in flow of refrigerant gas when operation stops and
starts.
• Due to the frosted heat exchanger, the defrost operation will begin.
