4) GREEN LED: RINSE 1- RINSE 5- One of
the various rinses is under way (from 1 to 5).
5) GREEN LED: SPIN. - Spinning under
way (meaning final spin).
When the washing machine is undergoing a
transitional stage like filling or emptying, a
led will blink. It will remain on when the
indicated stage is reached.
The YELLOW led lights up and the door is
automatically unlocked as soon as the cycle
is over. Then it is possible to open the door
using the handle and pull the fabrics out of
the drum.
WARNING: DO NOT FORCE THE
DOOR OPEN. WAIT UNTIL IT IS UN-
LOCKED AND THEN OPEN MANU-
ALLY. However, before opening the door
make sure that the drum has stopped, the
water has been drained and the temperature
inside the drum is lower than 40°C (take a
look at the temperature display). Should a
potential drop occur, open the door by pull-
ing the manual puller downwards (see fig.
2). To reach the manual puller it is necessary
to unscrew and withdraw the machine's front
lower panel. Once the door has been un-
locked manually, open it using the handle as
explained above and then put the panel back
in place.
7.3 FUNCTIONS
Besides the "START" and "ECONOMY"
push-buttons and the ON-OFF switch, the
machine has 4 more buttons for selecting
cycles, setting countdown according to in-
stallation conditions and for deferring the
start.
The "SEL" push-button is used for cycle
selection (the door being open), whereas the
start can be delayed and the countdown can
be altered from the programming mode.
With the door closed, before the cycle is
started, the programming mode can be en-
tered by pressing the "PROG" push-button.
The time display will then read "F5", which
stands for "deferred start". Use the "+" and
"-" to increase or diminish the delay time
from the moment you press the "START"
button (each time you press "+" or "-" the
delay time will be increased or diminished
by 10 minutes). Pressing "PROG" again will
cause the display to read "F7", which stands
for countdown time: the first value shown on
the display applies to cycle 1. Press "PROG"
again to pass on to cycle 2 value, and so on.
Change countdown time, which ranges from
1 to 90 minutes, by pressing "+" or "-",
(again, mark that these countdown times
have no effects on the real execution of
cycle stages). To exit the programming mode
and save the changes, press "PROG".
WARNING: if a potential drop should oc-
cur during a programming session, changes
will not be saved and it will be necessary to
repeat the programming procedure from
the beginning. The settings assigned to F7
are fixed unless changed through program-
ming even after the machine is switched off,
whereas those assigned to F5 are used only
in the cycle immediately following the pro-
gramming session.
During a cycle, the machine can be caused to
pause by pressing the "PROG" key. Thus the
machine can be stopped at all cycle stages
except spinning. The display will then read
"PAUSE". To resume the cycle, press "START".
The "pause" function can be enabled only when
a cycle is in progress: the "PROG" key will
otherwise behave as explained above.
In case of irregular operating conditions (po-
tential drop, overtemperature or irregular wa-
ter level) the machine' will indicate the fault
on the front panel display though a number of
alarm types. For a detailed account of alarms,
see the respective section.
PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
Options F1,F2,F3,F4,F6 and F8 can be en-
abled for each single cycle, following a
"hidden" procedure.
When a function has been enabled, it stays
enabled permanently (or until it is disabled).
The programming mode is accessed by
energising the machine while pushing the
PROG key.
Access to the programming mode is pos-
sible at all times, even if the door is open or
the machine is coin-operated.
Options must be enabled one by one for
every single cycle.
During programming the cycle display reads
the selected cycle (1...9), whereas the time
display reads "Fy", where y is the option at
issue.
The temperature display shows the current
selection (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled; F3
envisages a third choice too (setting 2): see
specific description.
A cycle is selected by pressing the SEL key,
whereas options are selected through the
PROG key and enabled or disabled through
the "+" and "-" keys respectively.
When the PROG key is pushed repeatedly,
options are shown in a cyclic sequence F1 to
F8 and then back to F1). When the SEL key
is pushed repeatedly, cycles from 1 to 9
appear; after cycle 9 comes the function that
enables cycles 6,7,8,9.
Settings are saved when confirmed and when
selection shifts to the next value (using the
SEL or PROG keys).
Therefore, when a potential drop occurs, the
settings that have been changed and con-
firmed are never lost.
To exit the programming mode, just confirm
your last selection and disenergise the ma-
chine.
IMPORTANT !!!
When an option is selected for a cycle that
does not envisage it (see description of each
option) the machine will accept the selection
but the corresponding function will not be
carried out.

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAMMABLE
FUNCTIONS
Cooling (F1)
As a rule, in cycles 1,2,6,7 additional soft
water is taken in till the high level mark is
reached.
When this function is enabled, the machine
will keep on taking water in till water tem-
perature reaches below 40°C; then it will
start draining.
Setting Function

1 Cooling till 40°C before empty-

Delicate cycle (F2)
With cycle stages in which water is taken in
until it reaches the low level mark and for
drum action is regular (strong), the "Deli-
cate cycle" function causes water to be taken
in up to the high level mark and drum action
to be delicate.

Shorter spin (F3)
Function F3 reduces the Final Spin of cycles
1,2,6,7,8,9, which is generally 5 minutes
long, to 1 minute. F3 can also cancel regular
spins from all cycle stages and all cycles.

2 Spin cancelled from all stages
No prewash (F4)
Only for cycles 1,2,3, function F4 cancels
prewash, so that cycles start from the wash
stage proper.

Soak (F6)
Cycles 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 perform the soak func-
tion as follows:
When the START key is pushed the door is
locked and the soft water valve starts to take
water in.
The time display reads "F6" intermittently.
As soon as water reaches the low level mark
water intake is stopped, the heating goes on
and the drum starts a delicate wash action.
With cycles 1,2,6,7 water temperature is
40°C, whilst it is 30°C for cycles 3,4,5.
The drum moves only when the heating
elements are on.
The machine stays in this condition until the
START key is pressed, which causes the
selected cycle to begin and the time display
to return to its regular countdown reading.
Under the soak function, all the keys that are
normally active during washing are enabled,
except for the PROG key (pauses are dis-
abled).
