Constant Electronic Control
(GKS 65 CE)
The constant electronic control keeps the speed
almost constant at no-load and under load; this
ensures uniform feed and a smooth cutting pat-
tern.
Overload Protection (GKS 65 CE)
When the machine is subject to overload during
sawing, the motor stops and starts again only
when the feed rate is reduced.
Soft Starting (GKS 65 CE)
Due to the soft starting feature of the machine, a
13 A fuse is sufficient.
Changing the Tool
(see figure
)
A
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Wear protective gloves when mounting the
saw blade. Danger of injury when touching the
saw blade.
Only use saw blades that correspond with
the characteristic data given in the operat-
ing instructions.
Do not under any circumstances use grind-
ing discs as the cutting tool.
For changing the cutting tool, it is best to place
the machine on the face side of the motor hous-
ing.
Removing
Press the spindle lock button 5 and keep it de-
pressed.
The spindle lock button 5 may be actuated
only when the saw blade is at a standstill.
Unscrew clamping bolt 21 with the Allen key 22.
Remove clamping flange 20.
Tilt back the retracting blade guard 12 and hold
firmly.
Remove the saw blade.

Mounting
Clean the saw blade and all the clamping parts to
be assembled.
Tilt back the retracting blade guard 12 and hold
firmly.
Place the saw blade onto the mounting flange 18.
Assemble the clamping bolt 21 and the clamping
flange 20.
Tighten the clamping bolt 21 with the Allen
key 22. Tightening torque: 6 – 9 Nm; equivalent to
1
hand-tight plus
/

Take care that the mounting positions of
the mounting flange 18 and clamping
flange 20 are correct.
When mounting: Ensure that the cutting di-
rection of the teeth (direction of arrow on
saw blade) and the direction-of-rotation ar-
row on the blade guard match.
Dust/Chip Extraction
Mounting the Extraction Adapter
(see figure
)
E
Fasten the extraction adapter 27 onto the saw-
dust ejector 15 until it latches. Additionally fasten
the extraction adapter to the blade guard 16 with
the screw (see figure).
Directly connect a 35 mm Ø vacuum hose 30 to
the extraction adapter.
The extraction adapter must not be
mounted when no external dust extraction
is connected. Otherwise there is danger of
the extraction channel becoming clogged.
A dust bag must not be connected to the
extraction adapter. Otherwise there is dan-
ger of the extraction system becoming
clogged.
Clean the extraction adapter regularly to ensure
optimum dust extraction.
The machine can be plugged directly into the re-
ceptacle of a Bosch all-purpose vacuum cleaner
with remote starting control. The vacuum cleaner
starts automatically when the machine is
switched on.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the ma-
terial to be worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detri-
mental to health or carcinogenic, use a special
vacuum cleaner.
