2. Unscrew the
ball-grip knob
in the centre of
the spool sup-
port of the wel-
ding wire (41 of
Fig. 3).
4. Remove the
plastic wrap from
the new spool
and place the
spool
on
the
appropriate sup-
port (41 of Fig. 3).
5. Please note that
the hex socket
(M8) situated in the
centre of the spool
support is part of
the wire tension
system.
Tighten or loosen the hex socket to set the cor-
rect tension: tightening too much can cause
excessive tension that could prevent the spool
from turning correctly. On the other hand, if the
tension is too loose, the welding wire could
accidentally unwind.
6. Unscrew the ball-
grip knobs on the
wire-feeding system
and turn until the
upper wire feeder
spools are raised.
(44 of Fig. 3A)
8. Run the wire
under the wire
feeder spools all
the way to the
out-let
of
the
Euroconnector.
10. Tighten the
knob gently; if it
is too tight the
wire could jam; if
it is too loose, it
will be unable to
feed the wire,
which will slip off.
Repeat the ope-
ration
for
the
other knob.
7. Insert the wire
into the inlet tube
(43 of Fig. 3A)
of the wire fee-
der motor.
9. Lower the upper
spools (45 of Fig.
3A) and fasten the
plastic
ball-grip
knob (44 of Fig.
3A) of the wire ten-
sion regulator.
