Commissioning
1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
2. Release the locking mechanism by pressing the button in
the direction of arrow B (see Illustration a).
3. Insert the plug in a duly installed 230V/50Hz socket.
4. The indicator light and the illuminated "OFF" display show
you the standby mode.
5. Keep the button (3) pressed down for three seconds in
order to switch the device on.
NoTE:
The device always starts with the temperature set to
140°C. This is shown in the display.
6. Select a temperature between 90°C and 180°C:
•
With the "-" button you can reduce the temperature by
5°C each time.
•
With the "+" button you can increase the temperature by
5°C each time.
NoTE:
•
During the heating-up phase the indicator light is red.
•
The display shows the actual temperature value.
•
After a few seconds the buttons are blocked.
7. If you would like to change the temperature, keep the "-" or
"+" button pressed down for a second. Then you can set a
different temperature again.
General Use
•
Select the desired temperature as described above.
•
The device must be used only for dry hair.
•
Take a strand of hair and pull it carefully downwards until it is
taut.
•
The remaining hair should be put up or fixed in place.
•
Before the halves are pressed together for approx. 5
seconds, we recommend that you ensure that the hair is
positioned correctly. Always begin at the base of the hair
and move the device in the direction of the hair tip.
•
In order to produce a uniform appearance it is important that
the next strands fall in one line.
•
Keep the button (3) pressed down for three seconds in
order to switch the device off.
•
Remove the mains plug.
•
Leave the device to cool before putting it away! To this pur-
pose place the device on one side of the housing or hang it
up by the suspension lug.
•
In order to save space when storing the device you can
press the rods of the hair straighter together and lock them
in place. In order to do this, press the button in the direction
of arrow A (see Illustration a).

Cleaning and care
WARNING:
•
Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
•
Under no circumstances should you immerse the device
in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result
in an electric shock or fire.
CAUTIoN:
•
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
•
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
•
Clean the casing with a soft, dry cloth – without any ad-
ditional cleaning agents.
•
The heating surfaces can be cleaned with a slightly damp
cloth. If necessary you can use a commercial dish washing
detergent.
•
Dry the heating surfaces off thoroughly each time they are
cleaned!
