- Open the lid of the fryer.
- Fill the appliance with the required amount of oil or fat. Ensure that the appliance is filled at least to
the minimum level and not higher than the maximum level, as indicated on the inside of the fryer. For
optimal results, we advise against mixing different types of oil.
- When using the fryer, please ensure the temperature is at a low setting when first used. Cut the fat into
pieces and spread evenly in the fryer. Put the plug in the wall socket. The indicator lamp will be illuminated.
Fill the fryer with enough fat to reach the minimum level. Take care when adding pieces of fat to the
right level. When the fat has melted and the minimum level reached, you can set the temperature to the
desired level.
- Select the temperature for the item you wish to fry. Consult the temperature table for information on
this. Pre-heat for at least 15 minutes.
- Use the handle to place the basket in the deep fryer.
- Place the food to be fried in the basket. For best results, the food should be dry before being placed in
the basket.
- Slowly lower the basket into the oil to prevent the oil from bubbling up.
- To ensure the oil stays at the correct temperature, the thermostat will switch on and off. The indicator
light will also go on and off.
- Then lift the basket when the frying time has elapsed so that the oil can drip off.
- Remove the plug from the socket.
- After use, rinse the basket and dry thoroughly.
- Once the deep fryer has totally cooled off, you can place the basket back in the deep fryer. Store the deep
fryer, with closed lid, in a dry and dark place. You can leave the oil and the basket in the deep fryer.
FRYING TIPS
- Use a maximum of 500 grams of fresh chips per fry.
- When fresh chips are used: dry the chips after washing them to ensure no water gets into the oil.
- Fry the fresh chips in two turns: First time (blanch) 5 to 10 minutes at 160 degrees. Second time
(finishing) 2 to 4 minutes at 180 degrees. Allow the oil to drip off.
- When using frozen products, use a maximum of 200 grams because the oil cools off rapidly. Shake
frozen products above the sink to remove excess ice.
- When using frozen chips, use a maximum of 400 grams per fry. Allow this deep fryer to pre-heat for
at least 15 minutes with the thermostat at 190ºC. During this time, it is normal for the light to switch
on and off. Then fry frozen chips for 10 - 14 minutes.
