NOTE: If tie down hooks are welded into body of
truck, they do not need to be removed.
1. Unbolt tailgate, tailgate supports and
tie-down hooks from pickup bed (FIG.
10-1). Save the fasteners.
NOTE: The bumper and bumper mounting brackets
cannot be reinstalled after liftgate is installed.
2. Unbolt and remove the rear bumper
(FIG. 10-2).
