to stop, and remove the battery pack. Failure
to follow these instructions can result in serious
personal injury or property damage.

objects being thrown into your eyes and other
possible serious injuries.

rized service center for assistance.
MAINTENANCE
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
Most plastics are susceptible to damage from
various types of commercial solvents and may be
damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove
dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline,
petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken, or destroy plastic, which could
result in serious personal injury.
All pole saw service, other than the items listed in
these maintenance instructions, should be per-
formed by competent pole saw service personnel.
(For example, if improper tool is used to hold the
flywheel in order to remove the clutch, structural
damage to the flywheel could occur and subse-
quently could cause the flywheel to burst).
REPLACING THE BAR AND CHAIN
See Figures 11 - 14.
WARNING:
To avoid possible serious injury, stop the motor
and remove the battery pack before replacing
the bar, chain, or performing any maintenance
operation.

move the chain cover screw, washer, and chain
cover from the chain saw.
