Before Starting Operation
Mount the flash head on an appropriate light stand.
Plug the supplied AC cord into the power socket at the housing bottom (see illustration).
Then connect the AC adapter to mains supply (220V). Now you can turn the flash head on
using the power switch at the flash housing bottom. The display will light up and the following
symbols become visible:

In case the display does not light up, please check the following:
1. Is the AC cord properly connected to mains supply? Does is show any defects?
2. Is the fuse alright?
WARNING!
If you need to change the fuse, make sure that the flash head is switched off and plug the
AC cord off mains supply! Do not touch the fuse with your bare hands!
Open the fuse compartment (2) using a suitable coin or screw driver. Twist the compartment lid by
app. 90° counter clockwise. Remove the compartment and exchange the fuse. Turn the compartment
clockwise by app. 90° until it clicks closed.
WARNING! Do not open the flash head --> High Voltage !

b) DPS Touch Key Lock
In order to avoid unintended adjustment or unauthorized use, the touch panel can be locked by touching
key (4) for a few seconds. Repeat this action to unlock the keys.
c) Flash Readiness Signal
When a flash is fired, it will take a moment (depending on the selected flash power) until another flash can
be released. In addition to the visual flash ready indicator (18) you can activate/deactivate an
acoustic signal by touching key (16).
