Selection of installation location
Basic requirement
Installing the unit in the following
locations may cause it to malfunction. If
this is unavoidable, please consult the
local dealer.
1. Locations with strong heat sources, or
where vapors, flammable or explosive
gases, or airborne volatile objects.
2. Locations with high-frequency
emitting devices (such as welding
machines or medical equipment).
3. Coastal locations with high salinity.
4. Locations with airborne oil vapors or
fumes.
5. Locations with sulphured gas.
6. Other locations with special
circumstances.
7. The appliance should not be installed
in a laundry.
Requirements for electric connection
Safety precaution
• Electric safety regulations must be followed when installing the unit.
• A suitably rated power supply circuit and air switch must be used, in compliance
with local safety regulations.
• Make sure the power supply matches the requirements of the air conditioner.
• An unstable power supply or incorrect wiring may cause a malfunction. Please
install suitable power supply cables before using the air conditioner.
• Correctly connect the live wire, neutral wire and grounding wire of the power
socket.
• Be sure to disconnect the power supply before proceeding with any work
related to electricity and safety.
• Do not connect the power before finishing the installation.
• If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid creating a
hazard.
• The temperature of the refrigerant circuit, may be high, please keep the
interconnection cable away from the copper tube.
• The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

Grounding requirements

• The air conditioner is a first class electric appliance. It must be properly
grounded with a specialized grounding device by a professional. Please make
sure it is always grounded effectively, otherwise it may cause an electric shock.

Indoor unit
1. There should be no obstructions near
the air inlet or outlet.
2. Select a location where the
condensate water can be drained easily
and won't affect other people.
3. Select a location which is convenient
for connecting the outdoor unit and is
near a power socket.
4. Select a location which is out of reach
of children.
5. The location should be able to
withstand the weight of the indoor
unit and should not increase noise or
vibration.
6. The appliance should be installed
2.5m above floor level.
7. Do not install the indoor unit directly
above an electric appliance.
8. Please attempt to keep it away from
fluorescent lamps.
