WEIGHT BALANCE SYSTEM – WBS CLIPS
HOW THE SYSTEM IS BUILT
The system is built with 3 parts for each side of the helmet:
1. The BASE - The Base has a clip, which
will fit only to the right or the left slot of the
The Arm has a mark R for right and L for Left
helmet. The bigger rounded cycle part of the
base points to the back side of the helmet.
MOUNTING THE WBS
1. The WBS is already mounted by the pin from the Cover to the Base. The triangle of the cover has its position directly over
the channel in the base, which will allow the arm to slide to the axle of the Cover.
2. The Arm will be fixed by the screw and the nut and 2 of the rubber washers of the AFP-25 standard visor mounting
system. The mounting for each side starts from the inner side, which is at the helmet shell side. The head of the screw
locks to the shell. The Arm is mounted on the screw by its 7mm hole. The pins on the arm lock the arm to the helmet shell.
Pay attention to the 'L' or 'R' on the arm. Put the washer onto the screw, now the visor, then the 2nd washer and then the
nut. Now the nut must be turned until the visor doesn't swing away when the visor is horizontal and the arm is upright. (It
does not need to be so tight if the work can be done in an upright position.)

to the front side of the EVO
helmet. Move the visor
®
around over the shell of the helmet until the triangle on
the cover of the Base and the little mark on the Arm will fit
together. Now the fork of the arm will slide to the axle and
press a little bit. This causes a little click sound.
Now the WBS is mounted and ready for use.
THE WBS FULFILS 3 FUNCTIONS.
Working position with a little click, that the visor is in the lowest position in front of the workers face
Stowed position: The weight of the visor is in a balanced position over the helmet shell crown. The visor should be shifted
upright. So the Arm of the WBS which keeps the visor will go up and the movement to the stowed position can be done
properly. The visor should not be turned around before the Arm is up. Then press the visor into its click position over the
helmet again. Press softly the visor crown towards the shell. (That is optional.)
HELMET
WBS Working position
To remove the visor from the helmet when it is not needed: Reverse the above process. This can often only be done
once; when the user removes the visor kit by dismounting the clip from the helmet's slot, the slot normally will be widened
and after a while damaged. The helmet shell slot loses the capability for fixing the clip tight. The fixating of the WBS clip
must be strong in the slot of the helmet shell for proper usage.
Please do this movements in the beginning a few times in front of a mirror to control your moving. The system is designed
to put the visor up and down with 1 hand only.
