7. Plug the metal end of the power cord into the
motor unit as shown. Plug the cord into a
standard electrical outlet.
Battery Operation
Requires four (4) AA batteries (sold separately).
Fresh batteries will provide approximately 2 to 4
hours of pumping time.
1. To install batteries, push the button towards
the clip to open the cover of the battery
compartment.
2. Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery
compartment, and snap the cover back into
place.
Tip: Once you are finished pumping, unplug tubing from
back of breastshield prior to setting down bottle.

Pumping Instructions
Be comfortably seated and relax. Using a footrest, like the Medela
NursingStool
, helps you maintain proper positioning and avoid lower
¤
back stress.
1. Center the breastshield over your nipple.
Note: Do not tilt or overfill containers while
pumping. Take care not to kink tubing while
pumping.
2. Press the on/off button to start Swing in the
Stimulation Phase.
3. Adjust the vacuum to your comfort level while
pumping by pressing the increase (+) or
decrease (-) button. Holding down these
buttons will adjust vacuum more rapidly.
Note: The green LCD light will flash rapidly when you
have reached minimum and maximum pumping set-
tings.
4. After two minutes, the Stimulation Phase will
automatically change to the Expression Phase.
If you let-down (your milk starts to flow)
sooner than two minutes, you may pump more
efficiently by pressing the let-down button at
that time. Adjust to your maximum comfort
vacuum
™
for most efficient pumping (see next
section for details on maximum comfort vacuum).
