• If the cable becomes damaged, have it
replaced by an authorised Technical
Assistance Service.
• Do not use any electrical appliance if
the cable or plug are damaged, if it is
not working properly or if it is damaged
in any way. Take it to an authorised
Technical Assistance Service to be
examined, repaired or modified.
• In the event of technical failure or
improper working, switch the machine
off and do not try to repair it. Repairs
should only be carried out by an
authorised Technical Assistance
Service. Always demand the use of
original spare parts.
• Avoid contact with the steam that is
released from the spout when the water
boils. Be especially careful to avoid
burning yourself with the steam when
removing the kettle's lid.
• Never fill the kettle to above the "MAX"
mark, or else the water may overflow
when it begins to boil.
• Never switch the kettle on when the
water is below the indicated "MIN"
level.
• The kettle is designed exclusively for
use with the connection base supplied.
4. BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
Before using your kettle for the first time
or after a long period of disuse, fill to the
maximum, boil and then pour the water
away.
5. HOW TO USE YOUR
AUTOMATIC KETTLE
• Place the appliance on a dry, flat, stable
surface.
• Remove the appliance from the
electrical base, remove the lid and fill
with water to anywhere between the
"MAX" and "MIN" marks.
• Do not fill to above the maximum
indicated level as this may cause
boiling water to splash from the spout.

• Remember: although it is best not to
boil more water than you need, make
sure that the water reaches the
minimum indicated level ("MIN").
• Close the lid, otherwise the kettle will
not switch itself off when the water
boils.
• Place the kettle on the base, plug into
the mains and turn the on-off switch to
the "I" position. The kettle ON pilot light
will come on.
• Do not add more water to the kettle
while it is switched on. Switch it off and
wait for it to cool.
• Do not leave water in the kettle for long
periods or overnight.
Warning: The kettle is equipped with a
thermal safety mechanism that protects it
against overheating in the absence of
water or if the water level is below the
minimum indicated level ("MIN"). When
this happens, the kettle switches itself off
automatically. Unplug the appliance from
the mains, turn the on-off switch to "0" and
leave to cool before filling with water once
again. When the kettle has cooled, it
should work normally. If this is not the
case, contact an authorised technical
assistance service.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After use, turn the on-off switch to "0",
unplug the appliance from the mains and
leave to cool. Clean the base and the
outside of the kettle with a damp cloth and
dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive
detergents that may scratch the plastic
coating. To remove stains on the inside of
the kettle, sprinkle some bicarbonate of
soda on a damp cloth and rub gently.
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
