Preparation, installation and use
How the smoke detector works
The photoelectric smoke detector goes off as soon as smoke spreads through the device's
detection chamber.
The alarm is designed to detect smoke. It doesn't prevent fires, but it does allow you to be
warned in time and escape the flames, 70% of fatal fires occur at night while occupants
are sleeping.
The smoke detector does not detect gases, flames or heat. It is designed to raise the alarm
quickly at the first sign of smoke. For proper operation, the detector must be installed,
started up and maintained regularly.
Warning: correct functioning of the detector is ensured by a non-replaceable battery.
