The assembly of each attachment is done by sliding it onto the body of the plunge router. The straight and angular milling
attachment has a gear, which should be positioned so that it rotates on the rack in the body (IV). The knob attached to the gear
and the height scale located on the plunge router body allow for setting the milling depth (V). After setting the milling depth, the
attachment must be fi xed by closing the lever (VI).
The plunge milling attachment is not equipped with gear, but it should be slid onto the plunge router body so that the pin inside
the attachment clamp fi ts into the notch in the plunge router body (VII). Slide the attachment to the full extent and then immobilise
it by closing the lever (VIII).
Caution! If closing the lever will not immobilise the attachment, tighten the lever clamping screw with the lever open.
Operating the straight milling attachment
The straight milling attachment allows attaching two guides – parallel milling guide and roller guide. The guides are assembled
to the attachment (IX), (X).
Both guides have adjusting knobs that allow setting the operating parameters. After setting the guides, make sure that the milling
cutter does not come into contact with any element of the guide during operation.
The attachment also allows the installation of an adapter for an external system extracting dust generated during operation, e.g.
by means of an industrial vacuum cleaner. Fix the adapter to the attachment and assemble it with a screw (XI). Do not tighten the
screw too much to avoid damaging the adapter.
An industrial vacuum cleaner can be used as a dust extraction system. It is not recommended to use a household vacuum
cleaner, which is not suitable for absorbing dust generated during wood processing and may be damaged during such work.
Always connect a fl exible hose to the tool connection, which allows the tool to operate freely. Position the hose so that it does not
come into contact with the inserted tool during operation. If the diameter of the vacuum cleaner hose diff ers from the connection
diameter, use the adapter (available separately).
Operating the angle milling attachment
The attachment does not allow the installation of guides. The milling angle is adjusted after loosening the knob. After setting the
angle, tighten the knob so that the milling angle does not change automatically during operation (XII). The scale located near the
knob makes it easier to set the milling angle.
Operating of the plunge milling attachment
The attachment allows the installation of the parallel milling attachment. Unscrew the guide adapter position locking knob (XIII)
slightly, extend the adapter and attach the guide (XIV) to it.
After unlocking the lever (XV) you can adjust the milling depth or the milling cutter stroke. Setting the depth or motion range is
possible by means of a rotary switch located in the base of the attachment, as well as by means of a depth gauge located at the
top of the attachment; the precision of the settings is ensured by a micrometer knob located at the top of the depth gauge (XVI).
Rotational speed adjustment (XVII)
The plunge router rotational speed can be adjusted smoothly within the range specifi ed in the technical data table. The speed
is set using the knob. The higher the visible number, the higher the rotational speed. The rotational speed must be selected
according to the type of workpiece and the diameter of the milling cutter. The smaller the diameter of the milling cutter and the
harder the wood, the higher the speed which can be set. Please note, however, that too high a speed can cause the workpiece to
burn. It is recommended to carry out tests on waste material.
Warning! Do not change the rotational speed setting while the tool is running under load.
Starting and stopping the plunge router
Before starting the plunge router, hold it with both hands on the handles or isolated housing elements and make sure that the
milling cutter does not come into contact with any objects. Switch the plunge router on by moving the power switch to the on
position - I. The device has a so-called „soft start", which means that it reaches the maximum or set rotational speed gradually
accelerating. This protects the user from a sudden jerk from the device, which can lead to a loss of control of the tool during its
start-up.
After the start-up, hold the plunge router running for approx. 30 seconds before starting work. You can start working if no abnormal
working symptoms are detected during this time, e.g. increased vibration, increased noise, suspicious smell or smoke coming
from the tool.
The tool is switched off when the power switch is set to the off position - O. After switching off the tool, the milling cutter will keep
spinning for some time. Wait for the milling cutter rotation to stop completely before putting the tool away.
Milling (XVIII)
The rotation direction of the spindle is indicated by an arrow on the base and on the housing. Milling must be carried out counter-
clockwise for external milling and clockwise for internal milling. This prevents the milling cutter from jumping and ensures a good
milling result.
The speed of guiding the plunge router should be adjusted experimentally, it is recommended to carry out tests using waste made
of the same material as the intended workpiece. The slower the guiding speed, the better the milling result. However, too slow a
