ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use, read these safety instructions and keep
them for future reference.
Comply with safety provisions of Decree of the Ministry
of the Interior No. 87/2000 Coll. determining fire safety
conditions for welding and safety provisions for metal
arc welding (ČSN 05 0630).
! - This symbol identifies risks of injury or damages to
the equipment.
! Should you not observe the instructions stated in this
manual, risk of injury arises.
! The equipment complies with applicable technical re-
gulations and standards.
WARNING! The electrical installation of the inverter
may be carried out by a qualified person only.
WARNING! In the power supply, the inverter may in-
duce voltage waves that can damage other sensitive
devices (e.g. computers).
To avoid this, we recommend to connect the inverter
to a power supply that is not used by any other equip-
ment (computers or other sensitive electronic devices).
! DANGER! Direct contact with the electrical circuit of
the welding inverter is dangerous. The inverter must
be disconnected from the power supply before conne-
cting or disconnecting of cables, before maintenance
or service.
WARNING! Do not use the welding inverter for activi-
ties for which it has not been designed.
Do not use the welding inverter if any of its parts is
damaged or missing. The equipment may break down
or the operator may be injured.
WARNING! Observe the conditions of the cable,
electrode pliers and ground clamps. Wear of insulation
and current-conducting parts may cause dangerous
situations and decrease the welding work quality.
Transport
The inverted has been developed and designed for
easy lifting and transport. Compliance with the fo-
llowing rules ensures easy transport of the equipment:
Before lifting and transport, the inverter must be disco-
nnected from the mains and connected welding cables
must be demounted. Do not lift the inverter by pulling
the cables. Do not pull the cables to move the invertor
on the ground. Protect the cables from sharp or grin-
ding objects and do not stand on them. Do not stretch
or bend the cables.
The inverter may be lifted by a handle that is attached
hereto.
Inverter Positioning
The inverter must be easily accessible, in particular its
control panel and connections.
Do not place the equipment into confined spaces, dus-
ty and dirty locations.
The equipment must not obstruct work of other per-
sons. It must be located so that its fall is avoided, e.g.
on a stable and safe place.
Do not use the inverter in the rain or in a wet
environment.
Installation of the Equipment
The installation of the equipment, operation and main-
tenance must comply with safety regulations. Regu-
larly maintain the supply cables. If damaged, replace
them.
It is forbidden to touch the electrical parts and electro-
des with bare hands, to use wet gloves or wear wet
clothes. The power cable must not be conducted
across roads, rails or other cables.
At each break in work, switch the inverter off. Do not
leave the switched-on equipment unattended.
The welding equipment is powered by electricity du-
ring its operation and it also creates a large electric
current; therefore, natural cooling is not sufficient. To
cool the inverter down, an incorporated fan is used.
Make sure to not prevent air intake by any means and
ensure the distance of the equipment from other ob-
jects of approx. 0.3 m.
Do not overload the equipment! Be careful not to ex-
ceed the maximum welding current electricity of each
particular working mode. Excessive electrical current
causes damages and burning of the equipment.
Protection of Persons
Appropriate measures must be taken to protect your-
self and to protect third parties from radiation produ-
ced during welding, from noise, high temperatures and
gaseous harmful substances. Never expose to the
effects of the electrical arc and the hot metal without
wearing a protective mask and protective clothes. Wel-
ding work carried out without compliance with these
instructions may result in serious health injuries.
WARNING! Light radiation of the arc may damage
eyes or cause burns on the skin.
A. Wear protective clothes: fireproof gloves, thick
shirts with long sleeves, long trousers without folds
and high closed shoes. This way you will protect your
skin from radiation emitted by the electric arc and hot
metal. In addition, a cap or a helmet (to protect hair)
must be worn.
B. To protect eyes, wear a protective mask with an
appropriate filter (protection level of DIN 10 or higher).
The same applies to the face, ears and throat. Persons
present during welding must be warned no to look into
the electric arc and not to expose to radiation.
C. In the working area, use hearing aids since the wel-
ding process may pose considerable noise pollution.
D. Protective goggles are necessary in case of manual
or mechanical removal of slag. Slag parts are usually
very hot and may be thrown very far during cleaning.
Pay attention also to the safety of persons present in
the workplace.
E. E. Separate the welding area by a fireproof wall
since the radiation and flying sparks or slag may en-
danger persons in the proximity of the equipment, or
cause a fire or
