Note: Above data are chromatic coordinates for the first panel of each model. For other panel,
chromatic coordinates may be different, so please confirm the data with RD.
White balance adjustment of LC-42MFXX is described as an example as follow. For other models,
please refer to Table 6.
4.2.2 Four groups of white balance adjustments
4.2.2.1 ATV channel adjustment (AV & S-VIDEO channels share the same date with this one)
Input AIR Channel 21 from TV channel, the picture is 11-gray-step, enter into factory menu
page Color Temp, first set item Color Mode as NORMAL, fix item GAIN GREEN, adjust items GAIN
RED, GAIN BLUE to set chromatic coordinates of the 9
GREEN, adjust items OFFSET RED, OFFSET BLUE to set chromatic coordinates of the 3
(285, 293); adjust items GAIN RED, GAIN BLUE and OFFSET RED, OFFSET BLUE repeatedly as
above until chromatic coordinates of both gray scales are (285, 293); then press key MENU to exit to
the superior menu or press item SAVE TO EEPROM to save the data of white balance.
Check if chromatic coordinates of COOL and WARM meet the requirements, if not, adjust items
GAIN RED, GAIN BLUE and OFFSET RED, OFFSET BLUE to set the date to be up to the
requirements and then save them.
4.2.2.2 DTV channel adjustment (HDMI channels shares the same date with this one)
Input AIR Channel 26 from TV channel, the picture is 11-gray-step, enter into factory menu
page Color Temp, first set item Color Mode as NORMAL, fix item GAIN GREEN, adjust items GAIN
4.2.2.3 YPbPr channel adjustment
ADC calibration: Input signal (VG848 Timing: 968 (480i/60 Hz),PAT: 918 (75% color bar +
gray scale)) , enter into factory menu page ADC Setting to perform ADC AUTO.
White balance adjustment: Input 8- gray-scale signal (VG848 (1920
factory menu page Color Temp, first set item Color Mode as NORMAL, fix item GAIN GREEN,
adjust items GAIN RED, GAIN BLUE to set chromatic coordinates of the 7
item OFFSET GREEN, adjust items OFFSET RED, OFFSET BLUE to set chromatic coordinates of

scale as (285, 293); adjust items GAIN RED, GAIN BLUE and OFFSET RED, OFFSET
BLUE repeatedly as above until chromatic coordinates of both gray scales are (285, 293); then press
key MENU to exit to the superior menu or press item SAVE TO EEPROM to save the data of white
balance.
Check if chromatic coordinates of COOL and WARM meet the requirements, if not, adjust items
GAIN RED, GAIN BLUE and OFFSET RED, OFFSET BLUE to set the date to be up to the
requirements and then save them.
4.2.2.4 VGA channel adjustment
ADC calibration: Input signal (VG848 Timing: 854 (VESA 800
square)) , check if picture displays fully, if not, enter into user menu Setup→VGA Setting→ AUTO to
make picture display fully; then enter into factory menu page ADC Setting to perform ADC AUTO.
