› Apply a 10-mm wide stripe of 3M 4298 UV activator (E) to the area marked on the front
bumper (see arrows). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› Apply a 10-mm wide stripe of Betaprime 5600 activator (C) to the area marked on the front
bumper (see arrows). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› Bend the protective sheets over the edges of the spoiler (see arrows) and secure them with
suitable adhesive tape (made from paper), so that the protective sheets can be removed
from the pieces of double-sided adhesive tape once the spoiler has been placed on the
front bumper.

› Use sandpaper (grit 80) to roughen the area of the spoiler that is to be adhered, where
indicated in the figure (see arrows).
› Then clean and degrease the roughened surface with the Terostat 8550 cleaning agent.
Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› Use the Mirlon VF non-woven abrasive pad to roughen the areas of the polypropylene deco-
rative trims that are to be adhered, where indicated in the figure (see arrows).
› Then clean and degrease the roughened surface with the Terostat 8550 cleaning agent.
Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Caution: The surface where the spoiler is to be adhered must be
completely free from grease and paint residue.

› Apply Betawipe 4000 activator (D) to the areas at the sides of the spoiler indicated in the
figure (see arrows). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› Apply Betaprime 5600 activator (C) to the areas of the polypropylene decorative trims
indicated in the figure (see arrows). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› Trim the adhesive sealant (B) nozzle as shown in the figure, such that the inner diameter of
the nozzle is approximately 8 mm. Apply a bead of adhesive sealant along the grooves in
the polypropylene decorative trims, and then along the sides of the spoiler, as shown in the
figure.

› Now that it has been prepared, place the spoiler in the correct position on the bumper.
