STANDARDS OF USE
1. FINISH ASSEMBLY
NOTE - The machine can be supplied with some of the compo-
nents already fitted.
WARNING - Unpacking and completing the assembly should be
done on a flat and stable surface, with enough space for
machine handling and its packaging, always making use of
suitable equipment.
Disposal of the packaging should be done in accordance with
the local regulations in force.
1.1
Push the pin (1) towards the right, as shown, and insert that
end into the right hand housing (2) of the chassis. Using a screw-
driver, hook the eyelet end (3) of the spring and insert into the slot.
Lastly, insert the pin's left end into its housing (4).
1.2
Insert the lower right hand part (1) of the handle into its
housing on the chassis. Hold the plate (2) in position inside the
chassis, mount the right hand cover (3) and assemble together
using the supplied screws (4).
Attach the lower left hand part (5) of the handle and the left cover
(6) using the screws (7), and finally, the upper part of the handle (8)
using the nuts and bolts (9).
Fit the guide spring (10) of the starter cable and attach the control
cables using the clips (11).
1.3
Assemble the dashboard (1) following the steps shown.
1.4a
For a rigid grass catcher: Assemble the two parts (1) and
(2), making sure that the two hooks are fully clicked into position.
1.4b
For a cloth grass catcher: Insert the frame (11) into the
sack (12) and attach the plastic profile (13) with the help of a screw-
driver, as shown in the drawing.
1.4c
For a plastic and cloth grass catcher: With the plastic part
(22) upside-down, fit all the outer edge slots (23) of the cloth (21)
onto the hooks (24) of the plastic part, starting from one end.
Put the two side parts of the frame (25) through the loops in the
cloth. Insert the two ends of the frame (25) in their seats and hook
the plastic profile (26) onto the central part of the frame.
Secure the frame to the plastic part using the screws (27).
1.5
On models with an electric starter, connect the battery
cable to the lawnmower's general cable connection.
2. DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
2.1
The throttle (where fitted) is controlled by the lever (1) and
positioned as shown on the relative plate. Some models have a
fixed speed, and therefore no need of a throttle.
2.2
The blade brake is controlled by the lever (1), which should
be held against the handle when starting and using the lawnmow-
er. The engine stops when the lever is released.
2.3
In the power-driven models, pull the lever (1) towards the
handle for forward movement. The lawn-mower stops moving for-
ward when the lever is released.
2.4
The cutting height is adjusted using the levers (1) and (2).
The four wheels must be at the same height.
MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT ONLY WHEN THE BLADE IS STOPPED.
3. GRASS CUTTING
3.1
Lift the stone-guard and attach the rigid grass-catcher (1)
or cloth grass-catcher (2) correctly as shown in the drawings.
3.2
To start, follow the instructions in the engine manual, pull
the blade brake lever (1) against the handle and firmly pull the
starter cable knob (2).
If the model has electric ignition pull the blade brake lever (1)
against the handle and turn the starter key (3).

machine unchanged in time.

following the instructions in the battery maintenance handbook.
Do not connect the battery charger directly to the engine terminal.
It is not possible to start the engine using the battery charger as a
power source, as it may get damaged.
If the machine is to remain inactive for a long period, disconnect the
battery leads after making sure that the battery is fully charged.
Environmental protection should be a priority of considerable
importance when using the machine, for the benefit of both social
