Safety notes
The safety notes are to be observed.
Installation, initial operation, maintenance and repairs have
to be carried out by authorised and qualified trade persons.
(EN 5011 part 1 and VDE 1000 part 10)
Installation notes
The transmission station is supplied pre-assembled. The
compression fittings are to be ordered separately.
The transmission station always has to be mounted at a
lower level than the collectors so that no steam may pene-
trate the expansion tank in case of stagnation.
If the expansion tank is mounted at the same or at a higher
level, a hydronic siphon is required. The installation has to be
flushed with fresh water after each draining operation.
The transmission station is not suitable for direct contact
with swimming pool water.
Assembly notes
1.1 Remove transmission station 1 from the insulation. To do
so, pull off the front insulation 3 and draw apart the back
insulations shells 4 and 5.
1.2 For each mounting device 6, drill 8 mm holes at a
distance of 262 mm (312 mm). Fix transmission station 1
by using the wall mounting device 6.
1.3 Connect pipework of the solar circuit to the upper and
lower connections with the help of compression fittings.
When using soft or thin walled pipes, reinforcing sleeves
have to be used for the additional stabilization of the
pipe. The pipe ends must be cut at right angles and have
to be free of burrs. Introduce pipe until stop and firmly
tighten the compression fittings by using a spanner. Hold
firm while tightening.
1.4 Screw safety group 2 onto the ball valve. Mount dis-
charging pipe of the safety valve towards the collecting
basin and the connection pipe of the safety group 2
towards the expansion tank.
1.5 Lead cable of the pump downwards and connect to the
control unit according to the installation instructions of
the manufacturer of the solar installation.
1.6 Flush solar installation thoroughly, then fill it with solar
liquid and carry out leakage test. Adapt flow volume to
the number of collectors or to the collector surface via
the phases of the circulation pump. If required, the fine
adjustment is carried out by using the ball valve of the
flow measuring device.
1.7 The back insulation shells 4 and 5 are pushed in from the
left and right hand side and the front insulation shell 3 is
pulled over it. The supply and return pipe are to be
insulated up to the thermal insulation.
