5. Center the template by aligning the forward edge and then the
template left and right trim edges with the decklid.
6. After template is aligned, apply tape to the cut-away regions of
the template in the numerical sequence shown on the template. It
is very important that no bubbles or wrinkles exist in the template
when the tape is applied.
7. Working from the center outward, secure the seven tabs that
indicate the hole locations to the decklid with tape in the area
indicated.
8. Using a center punch and hammer create a small dimple into
the decklid at each of the seven hole locations indicated on the
template.
9. Drill a pilot hole using a 1/8" drill bit at each of the center punch
locations.
10. Remove the template and, using a 3/8" drill bit, enlarge each of
the seven holes.
11. Remove any sharp edges from the holes with a de-burring tool
and apply a zinc rich anticorrosion compound to all bare surfaces
(P/N 12371287 or paint with touchup paint).
12. Clean the decklid surface with alcohol to ensure proper adhesion
of tape.

by placing the spoiler on the decklid and making sure the bolts
and clips match the hole locations on the template. It may be
necessary to move the clips within their slots to align them with
the decklid holes. If necessary, enlarge any misaligned holes
ZLWK D URXQG ¿OH
14. Using masking tape, tape the tape liner removal tabs on the
leading edge tape to the exterior surface of the decklid to ensure
they are accessible when the spoiler placed onto the decklid.
15. Place the spoiler onto the decklid and align all bolts and clips
with their respective holes.
16. Open the decklid and using a 1/4" drive universal joint with 10mm
socket loosely apply the nuts to the spoiler studs.
17. Close the decklid and adjust the spoiler so that it is centered left-
to-right and aligns well to the contour of the vehicle.
18. Remove the tape line on the outboard pieces of tape (2).
19. Begin removing the tape liner on the leading edge of the spoiler
working from the center of the spoiler towards the driver side.
Press downward on the tape area to ensure good adhesion of
the tape to the decklid.

it to the decklid and continue removing the tape liner.
21. Repeat the step above for the second clip.
22. Press downward on the end of the spoiler with an approximate
load of 15kg to create a good tape bond to the decklid / wetout
is achieved.

23. Repeat steps 19 to 22 working from the center of the spoiler to
the passenger side.
24. Open the decklid and tighten the three nuts beginning with the
center. Torque nuts to 7 N·m.
25. Using a rubber roller, apply 15kg along the leading edge of the
spoiler and the ends of the spoiler to ensure proper tape adhesion.
26. Reinstall the decklid liner.
