1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Thank you for purchasing this latest model parcel scale. Please read these
instructions carefully before use to achieve the best results. Steinberg series
electronic postal scale combines reliable, advanced electrical hardware with good
software. Using Steinberg series micro-processor and high speed, high precision
A/D conversion technology, the Steinberg series of scales can reach steady state
quickly with strong anti-interference capability. This series of scales can be used
for weighing application in commercial trade, postal and postage applications,
storage and transportations. This scale is a combination of modern and proven
mechanical design, with today's most advanced electronics to provide a superb
feature set. It is versatile, reliable, accurate and easy to operate.

2. GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

To avoid injury from fire or electric shock, please ensure compliance with safety
instructions when using this device. Please read the instruction carefully and make
sure that you have understood it well. Keep the manual near the equipment to be
able to read it at any time. Always use current sources connected to the ground
and providing the necessary voltage (indicated on the label on the device). If you
have any doubt, let an electrician check that your outlet is properly grounded.
Never use a damaged power cable. Use the device in a protected location to avoid
damaging the equipment or endangering others. Before cleaning, disconnect it.
Use a soft damp cloth for cleaning. Avoid using detergent and make sure that no
liquid enters the unit. Turn off the device quickly if you notice any inconsistencies
in its function. An opening of the device without our approval leads to a loss of
warranty.
General safety information for the use of our scale
For good performance and precise measurement, be careful with daily operation
and maintenance.
• Use the scale on a hard surface with little vibration.
• Please avoid strong electrical or magnetic fields.
• Do not use it in a location where there is an obvious change of temperature.
• Do not dismantle it; damage caused by this will not be covered by the
warranty.
• Do not use excessive force for removing or replacing the battery cover.

• Remove the battery if the scale will not be used for over 4 weeks, remove
the battery.
• Do NOT overload scale. This will damage loadcell and void the warranty.
• Do NOT leave load placed on the scale for long. This will decrease
scale's accuracy and shorten the life of loadcells.
• Check battery frequently. When scale runs out of power, charge battery with
its dedicated charger or replace it with a full one.
• Do NOT attempt to repair scale yourself. Contact your local representative.
3. CONSIGNING THE SCALE
Checking packaging upon consignment
When you received the goods proceed with opening the packaging if there are
no signs of damage. If there are signs of damage on packaging please send
a detailed list and report of all damage to the goods to your local representative
within 3 days after delivering.
Disposing of packaging
The various items used for packaging (cardboard, plastic straps, polyurethane
foam) should be conserved, so that the device can be sent back to the service
center in best conditions in case of problem.
