General Description

Series DHV-RM backpressure valves are designed as inner-flow,
piston diaphragm valves that are impervious to the effects of
backpressure. They are therefore suitable as effective backpressure
valves in applications involving fluctuating backpressure
(particularly in long lines).
The backpressure valves serve the purpose of creating a constant
backpressure to ensure exact media feed rates and to protect
against overloading while also increasing metering accuracy in
applications involving fluctuating backpressure, metering against
atmospheric pressure or into vacuum.
In connection with pulsation dampers, they are particularly suitable
for facilitating low-pulsation metering.
Used as overflow valves (pressure relief) in bypass systems, they
protect pumps, lines and fittings from overpressure as a result of
incorrect operation or blockages.
The "RM" series supersedes the "S" and "SR" series.

Safety

Intended use

• The backpressure valves are intended for use with liquid media
only.
• The backpressure valves serve the purpose of creating a
constant backpressure to ensure exact media feed rates and to
protect against overloading while also increasing metering
accuracy in applications involving fluctuating backpressure,
metering against atmospheric pressure or into vacuum.
• They are used together with pulsation dampers to facilitate
low-pulsation metering.
• Used as safety overflow valves (pressure relief) in bypass
systems, they protect pumps, lines and fittings from
overpressure resulting from incorrect operation or blockages.
• All other uses or conversions are prohibited!
• The backpressure valves are not intended for use together with
gaseous media or solids!
• The backpressure valves must not be used in conjunction with
metered media that corrodes its materials (refer to ProMinent
chemical resistance list in the product catalogue)!
• The backpressure valves must not be used outside the ambient
and operating conditions as specified in these operating
instructions (e.g. P-T diagram)!
• Ensure only personnel trained and authorized for this purpose
operate the backpressure valves!
