Starting Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of
the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the unit. Equipment
marked with 230 V can also be connected to
220 V.
Charging Procedure
With continuous or several repetitive charging cy-
cles without interruption, the charger can warm
up. This in not meaningful and does not indicate
a technical defect of the unit
The charging procedure starts as soon as the mains
plug is plugged into the socket and the battery 8 is
inserted into the charging compartment 10.
The rapid-charging procedure is possible only
when the temperature of the battery is between
0 °C and 40 °C.
LED indicator 9
Continuously lights up
The battery is fully
green
charged; the charger
immediately switches to
trickle charging.
Flashes green
The battery is being
charged
Continuously lights up
The battery temperature
red
is not within the
temperature range. As
soon as the allowable
temperature range is
reached, the charger
automatically switches
to rapid charging.
Flashes red
The battery is defective.
Changing the nosepiece
A
Remove the cover of the nosepiece magazine
(which is a wrench, size 12 mm) and select the fitting
nosepiece.
Always use the right sized nosepiece to
avoid faulty riveting.
Unscrew the nosepiece in use.
B
Press the On/Off switch 7, while tightly screw-
C
ing in the nosepiece 1 with the wrench.
Reinsert currently not used nosepieces into the nose-
piece magazine 5 and close the magazine with the
cover.
Riveting
Insert a rivet into the nosepiece 1. Enter the rivet
head vertically into the rivet hole of the workpiece
and press against it.
Press the On/Off switch 7. Release the switch after
the rivet has been set.
Dispose of the torn off rivet mandrel by tilting the
power tool toward the rear (rivet mandrel falls into
the mandrel collector), or toward the front (rivet
mandrel comes out of the nose piece).
The mandrel collector 4 must be emptied in regular
intervals.
Overload protection
The power tool is equipped with an overload protec-
tion device. In case of overload, the riveting process
is interrupted and the red LED 6 lights up. Release
the switch, so that the power tool can return to the
starting position.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, remove
the battery.
The unit is is maintenance-free. Always keep the
unit and the ventilation slots clean.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing, repair should be carried
out by a Würth Master-Service agent.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders,
always include the article number on the type plate
of the machine.
For the current spare parts list of this machine, log
into the Internet under "http://www.wuerth.com/
partsmanager" or ask for a copy at your nearest
Würth branch office.
Disposal
Power tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into
household waste!
According to the European Directive
2002/96/EG on waste electrical
and electronic equipment and its in-
corporation into national law, power tools that are
no longer suitable for use must be separately collect-
ed and sent for recovery in an environmental-friend-
ly manner.
