Operation
- After plugging in the mains plug, switch on the unit using the speed rotary switch on the
motor (page 44). Select the desired operating stage:
Position 0 = off
Position 1 = low speed
Position 2 = medium speed
Position 3 = high speed
- After use, switch the unit off again at the step rotary switch (position 0).
- If you are not going to use the unit for a longer time, unplug the power cord.

- Routine maintenance must be carried out once a year, or earlier in the case of heavy conta-
mination.
- Check the mains cable and the mains plug for damage regularly, but absolutely before each
use. If damage is visible, do not use the device again.
- Clean the surface of the housing and the protective grille with a dry cloth and a soft brush.
Do not use petrol or a similarly inflammable cleaning agent.
- After cleaning, the fan must dry completely before it is put back into operation.
- After cleaning, the fan must be allowed to dry completely before it is put back into operation.
- Furthermore, the device is maintenance-free.
Storage
- If you are not going to use the fan for a long time, keep it in a dry room.
- You can also cover your unit to protect it from dust or dirt deposits.
Disposal
- Pull the mains plug!
- Dispose of the device properly (see page 49-51).

Risk of injury due to the fan falling over.
Only place the fan on a stable surface,
horizontal and dry surface.
In the event of visible damage, the occurrence of unusual noi-
ses, strong vibrations and/or faulty operation, switch off the
unit immediately, pull out the mains plug and secure it against
being switched on again. See chapter: Repairs (page 13)
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply by unplugging
the plug or switching off the electrical system before carrying
out any cleaning or maintenance work.
- Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet so that the operator
can be sure that the plug is unplugged at all times and in all
locations.
