Using the "earis" pocket receiver

With the "earis" pocket receiver version, it is possible to connect the in-
cluded inductive neckloop or any type of headphones and other hearing
accessories with a 3.5 mm jack, including:
Underchin headphones
Induction hooks monaural
Induction hooks binaural
DAI-Audio cable monaural
DAI-Audio cable binaural
Connecting a neckloop to the "earis" pocket receiver
You can only use the neckloop if you have a hearing aid equipped with an
induction coil (T-coil or loop program).
Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug of the induction loop with the jack socket of
the pocket receiver.
Set your hearing aid to the T-position or loop program to hear the sound.
If your hearing aid does not have a T-position or if you wish to use a coch-
lear hearing aid, please contact your hearing care professional.
Connecting headphones to the "earis" pocket receiver
We recommend using closed headphones or in-ear headphones. This
avoids hearing the sound direct from the TV as well as through the receiver
and creating an echo. This may also happen with a mixed microphone/loop
program on a hearing aid.
Connect the 3.5 mm jack on the headphones with the jack socket on the
pocket receiver.
To use the "earis" pocket receiver, proceed as follows:
1. Switch your audio source on (e.g. TV). If "earis" is connected via the
headphone jack or is operated with an optional microphone, you
should set the volume of the sound source to a medium level. This is
not necessary if "earis" is connected via Toslink or RCA.
2. The receiver switches itself on automatically when you take it out of the
charging dock. When the receiver is on, the green status LED on top
of the receiver is lit.
Use the volume control on the receiver to adjust the volume to a low
level to protect your hearing. A low level of volume is indicated when
only a few LEDs on the volume indicator are lit. The more LEDs on the
volume indicator light up, the higher the set volume.
