Fit the 1-wire grey-black wiring harness:
Insert the crimp contact of the 1-wire grey-black wiring harness into the connector for the inner right
tail light into chamber 1 and click into place.
Route the remaining end of the wire along the lines already routed through the rear hatch to the
connector for the inner left tail light.
Cut the vehicle's grey-black wire which ends in chamber 1 of the connector for the inner left tail light
approximately 10 cm before the connector and strip approximately 5 mm off all three ends of the
grey-black.
Create an electrically conductive connection between the three ends of the grey-black wire with a
butt connector 000 979 941 and a crimping tool and then use a hot air blower to seal the butt
connector.
Fit the 3-wireblue, yellow, white wiring harness:
Route the three joined, equally long ends of the blue, yellow and white wires along the vehicle's own
wiring harness on the left side to the front to the connector for the BCM.
Connect the three remaining, different length ends of the wires as follows:
Insert the crimp contact for the blue wire on the connector for the outside left tail light into
chamber 4 and click into place. First open the secondary interlock carefully.
Route the white wire on the left C-column upward to the roof and on to the outside right tail light.
Insert the crimp contact for the white wire on the connector for the outside right tail light into
chamber 4 and click into place. First open the secondary interlock carefully.
Route the yellow wire on the left C-column upward to the roof and on through the previously
removed left rubber grommet in the rear hatch. User suitable tool to pull the wire through, if
necessary.
Insert the crimp contact for the yellow wire on the connector for the inner left tail light into chamber 3
and click into place. First open the secondary interlock carefully.
Unlock the connector housings for the "A" and "C" BCM slots and pull the connector strips out of
the housing casings. Remove the cable ties previously fitted at each connector housing's cable
output.
Push the socket contact for the vehicle's wire out of chamber 65 of connector "A" using a suitable
release tool and cut off the crimp contact.
Strip approximately 5 mm off this end of the wire, extend using a single wire 000 979 025 E and a
butt connector 000 979 941, use a crimping tool to create an electrically conductive connection and a
use a hot air blower to seal the butt connector.
Insert the extended wire into chamber 3 of connector "C" and click into place.
Push the socket contact for the vehicle's wire out of chamber 10 of connector "C" using a suitable
release tool and cut off the crimp contact.
Strip approximately 5 mm off this end of the wire, extend using a single wire 000 979 025 E and a
butt connector 000 979 941, use a crimping tool to create an electrically conductive connection and a
use a hot air blower to seal the butt connector.
Insert the vehicle's extended wire into chamber 6 of connector "C" and click into place.
