Emptying the dirt cup (fig. F)
Note: The appliance needs to be in the sweep mode
(fig. C, 1) before the dirt cup (6) can be removed. It is
important not to use excessive force to remove the dirt cup
(6). If the dirt cup (6) seems to be stuck in the housing, follow
the "Unclogging the appliance" procedure.
Remove the dirt cup (6) from the appliance by pulling
straight up as shown. Do not push on the emptying button
when pulling it out.
Hold the dirt cup (6) over a dust bin and empty it by
completely pressing the emptying button and shaking
moderately.
Release the button and push the dirt cup (6) back into the
motorized dust pan (4) until it is flush with the top surface.
Unclogging the appliance (fig. G)
Note: The dirt cup (6) door mechanism must be free of
debris to fully close and allow removal of the dirt cup.
Remove the batteries from the appliance.
Rotate the handle to change to the collect mode (fig. C, 2).
Flip over to access the opening extending from the beater
bar (2) to the dirt cup (6).
Clean out any debris in this opening and at the entrance to
the dirt cup (6) that may impede the operation of the beater
bar (2) or the dirt cup (6) door mechanism.
Return to sweep mode (fig. C, 1).
Replace the batteries.
Maintaining the beater bar
Note: Periodic maintenance to the beater bar (2) is required
to make sure that the optimum pick up performance is
maintained.
Remove the batteries from the appliance.
Flip over to access the beater bar (2).
Remove any hair or other debris that is wrapped around or
is trapped near the beater bar (2) to make sure that it can
rotate freely.
Replace the batteries.
Cleaning and maintenance (fig. H)
It is suggested that the dirt cup (6) is emptied before
storage.
Hang the appliance on its' hook or other device when not in
use to keep the broom head (5) in the best condition.
Do not store the appliance resting on the broom head (5) as
this will result in permanent damage to the bristles.
Periodically clean the appliance with a damp cloth,
including the chamber that the dirt cup (6) fits into. Remove
any hair, fibre or other materials that may have built up in
the appliance or on the rotating brush.
Don't use abrasive materials to clean the appliance.
Do not immerse the appliance in water.
