you exercise regularly then you will see your fi
tness rating improve.
The test will not work if the sensor is not connected
correctly or if the error code "E1" appears on
the screen.
The TEST will not work if you do not have both
hands placed on the hand-grip sensors (R) after
you have stopped doing the exercise. If the error
code "E1" is shown on the screen then this means
that you do not have your hands positioned
correctly on the hand-grip sensors (R).
If the error code "E2" appears on the screen,
this
means
that
exercising.
HAND-GRIP
INSTRUCTIONS/USE(PULSE)
On this model the pulse rate is measured by
placing both hands on the sensors (R), located
on the handlebar, as shown in Figure 4. When
both hands are placed on the sensors the heart
symbol on the right-hand side of the screen,
marked PULSE, will begin to fl ash and after a
few seconds a heart rate reading will be
displayed. If both hands are not placed correctly
as shown in fi gure 5 then the pulse function will
not work.
If a "0" appears on the screen or the heart
symbol does not fl ash then make sure that both
hands are placed on the sensors and that the
connectors (54-55) and (54a-55a) are connected
at the back of the electronic unit.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Problem: The display comes on but only the
Time function works
Solution:
a.-Make sure that the connection cable is
you
have
not
stopped
connected.
Problem: The display does not come on or the
displayed segments are very weak
Solution:
a.-Check that the batteries are fi tted correctly.
b.-Check the battery charge
c.- If they are run down change the batteries
Problem: Display segments of a function read-out
are not vi- sible or error messages for a
particular function appear.
Solution:
a.-Remove the batteries for 15 seconds and then
refi t them correctly.
b.-Check the battery charge If they are run
down change the batteries
c.- If the above steps do not help then replace the
electronic monitor.
6V 1 Amp. Transformer
Problem: The monitor does not switch on.
Solution:
a.-Check the 220 V mains connection
b.-Check the output connection from the
transformer to the monitor
c.- Check the monitor cable connections.
d.-Check the cable connections for the main
post..
Avoid leaving the electronic monitor in direct
sunlight as this might damage the liquid crystal
display. Similarly, do not expose it to water or
knocks.
