Applying a New Tape Ring
Inspect the back (ocular) surface of the
UniVision lens to ensure it is clean. If there is
adhesive remaining, use a cotton swab with
alcohol to clean it off. If the lens is dirty, clean
it by using mild soap and water or any other
ophthalmic lens cleaners.
Remove the tape applicator (round plastic
cylinder) from the applicator kit. Set aside the
top of the tape applicator.
Unfold the new tape ring's tab and carefully
peel back the clear ring until it is completely
removed.
If the narrow adhesive ring remains attached to the clear ring, discard
the entire ring assembly and repeat step 3.
Place the tape ring in the bottom of the tape applicator, with the
exposed adhesive side facing up. Slip the tab into the slot in the side of
the applicator and gently slide the tape ring down. Use the top of the
applicator to push the tape ring to the bottom. Do not remove the top of
the applicator set.
Apply the suction cup to the front side of the UniVision lens. Insert the
lens into the centre hole of the applicator and press down firmly.
