TROUBLESHOOTING
First try the solutions suggested here to possibly avoid the cost of a service call.
PROBLEM
Refrigerator does not operate
Vibration or rattling (slight

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
Refrigerator in defrost cycle.
Controls set to OFF.
Refrigerator is unplugged.
The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped.
Refrigerator is in showroom mode.
Leveling legs need adjusting.
Normal when refrigerator is first plugged in.
Often occurs when large amounts of food are
placed in refrigerator.
Door left open.
Hot weather or frequent door openings.
Temperature controls set at the coldest
setting.
Temperature control not set cold enough.
Warm weather or frequent door openings.

Automatic energy saver system circulates

Icemaker power switch is in the OFF position. Set the power switch to the ON position.
Water supply turned off or not connected.

icemaker to shut off.

SOLUTION
Wait about 30 minutes for defrost cycle to end.
Set the controls to a lower temperature setting.
Push the plug completely into the outlet.
Replace fuse or reset the breaker.
Unplug the refrigerator and plug it back in.

Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely cool
down.
This is normal.
Check to see if package is holding door open.

Empty and wash bin. Discard old cubes.
Wrap foods well.

Replace filter cartridge with new cartridge or with plug.

Set the power switch to the 0 (off) position. Keeping it
in the I (on) position will damage the water valve.
