WARNING! Uninsulated instrument components! Accidental tis-
sue contact with live, uninsulated instrument components may
cause unwanted coagulation and may cause irreversible tissue
damage. This also applies for the joint area behind the instru-
ment jaws.
• Always try to prevent accidental tissue contact (including in
the joint area), e.g. with suitable visual monitoring.
Notes
Do not use excessive force on the instrument.
To close the jaws, press the handle together. To open the jaws,
pull the handle apart.
Insert the product into the trocar sleeve with the instrument jaws
closed only.
Do not separate or touch any clamps or clips.
Cutting tissue
1. Guide the open instrument jaws in until they directly contact
the tissue that is to be cut without activating the electrosur-
gical unit. Do not start to close the instrument jaws during
this process.
Note: The slower the cut is made during the procedure below the
larger the coagulation zone at the edge of the cut.
2. Activate the CUT-HF current and slowly close the instrument
jaws during activation.
3. End the activation on completion of the cutting procedure.
4. Do not open the instrument jaws until activation is finished.
Coagulating tissue
1. Grip the tissue securely and activate the COAG-HF current.
2. On completion of the coagulation procedure stop the activa-
tion or, if using AUTO STOP, wait until the unit ends the ac-
tivation.
3. Do not open the instrument jaws until activation is finished.
