Important information
Target group

• Specialist personnel trained by Techem
Intended use
Water meters are used exclusively to measure
drinking water consumption. Depending on their
version, they are either suitable for cold water or
hot water.
Alteration of the water meters is not permitted.

If a sealed meter is damaged or removed by a
person not authorised by Techem, the calibra-
tion is no longer valid.

Transport is carried out using the original pack-
aging.
Safety and hazard information
Observe hygiene in the drinking water area:
Ö Only remove the meter from its packaging direct-
ly before installation.
Ö Contact and contamination with surfaces which
contact drinking water must be avoided at all
costs.
Ö Only use lubricant permitted for drinking water,
e.g. Techem tap grease (item no. 160958)!
Avoid damages:
Ö Danger of confusion with WGU geometry (thread
pitch different!)
Ö Check sealing surfaces and clean them as neces-
sary.
Ö Test the screw thread.
Avoid billing errors:
Ö Do not install water meters in circulation con-
duits.
Ö Observe the direction of flow!

Ö Battery replacement is neither required nor ap-
proved.

Prerequisites:
• Meter with radio module: Distance from power
supply lines ≥ 300 mm.
• Shut-off devices for later meter swap.
• Switch off devices connected on the supply net-
work in order to avoid damages from overpres-
sure or overtemperature.
