POSITIONING DRIP CUPS
Use one drip cup when utilizing the Panini Grill as a contact grill or panini press.
Use two drip cups when using the Panini Grill as an open grill or open griddle.
Place the cup below the grease spout during cooking so the grease from the food runs off the plates
through the grease spout and flows into the drip cup. Dispose of the grease in correct way after cooking.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

1. Maintenance
- Never use metal utensils as they will scratch the non-stick plates.
- Never leave plastic utensils or the provided scraping tool in contact with hot plates for extended periods
of time as it may melt.
- Scrape excess food buildup through the grease channel and into the drip cups. Then wipe off any resi-
due with a paper towel before using the machine again.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning (at least 30 minutes).
2. Cleaning
MAKR SURE THE APPLIANCE HAS COOLED DOWN COMPLTETELY BEFORE CLEANING.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER, OR IN OTHER LIQUIDS. IF THIS HAPPENS
DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE ANY MORE; DISPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE. NEVER USE
CORROSIVE OR SCOURING CLEANING AGENTS.
1 Turn off the appliance and unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2 Allow the appliance to cool down completely (at least 30 minutes).
3 Use the scraping tool to remove any leftover food and dispose of the grease from drip cups.
The scraping tool and the drip cups can be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher.
4 Remove the plates from the unit. The cooking plates can be washed in the dishwasher, however, do
not use metallic objects such as knives, forks or scouring pads for cleaning, as they will damage the
non-stick coating.
5 Use lemon juice to clean the plate if you have been cooking seafood. This prevents unwanted flavours
from carrying over to the next recipe.
6 The housing base, cover, and control knobs can be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. Use a damp cloth
for tougher stains. Never use an abrasive cleaner or harsh pad.
PRINCESS TIPS
• Place the appliance on a sturdy and stable surface that is also heat-resistant.
• The appliance is only for domestic use. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not use sharp implements with the cooking plates, such as metal spatulas, knives and forks. These
may damage the non-stick coating.
• When you use the appliance in the open position the table or kitchen surface will become very hot. For
that reason, never put the open appliance on an unprotected plastic surface.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• The exterior of the appliance can become quite hot. Only pick up the appliance using the plastic handle.
• Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of a table, counter top, etc., that someone could
knock it over. Do not allow the lead to hang over the edge or on the floor, as someone may become
entangled or trip over it.
• DO NOT use the appliance if it is damaged or if the lead is damaged. Send it to our Service
Department in order to avoid a hazard. With this type of appliance, a damaged lead must be replaced by
our service department using special tools.
• Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.
• The plates become very hot; make sure that children do not come near it, and be careful
yourself as well.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning products or scourers.
• Only use the appliance according to the instructions.
• Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Keep the lead away from the plates.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or
motorial disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards.
Persons responsible for their safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the use
of the appliance.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
