I. Knob YR - Rotates probe to parallel with prostate centerline
II. Knob ZR - Levels prostate horizontally on transverse image
III. Stepper Quick Connect Knob - Secures stepper to FAM
IV. Stabilizer interface plate
V. Knob X - Centers probe along midline axis of the prostate and centers the transverse image on grid
VI. Knob XR - Tilts probe parallel to the posterior surface of the prostate in the sagittal plane
VII. Knob Z - Used to "zero" the stepping unit at the bladder neck to set the base plane for implantation
VIII. Knob Y - Adjusts image height on grid to define posterior row for seed placement
NOTE: Knob Y controls vertical movement and has a useful range of about 6cm (3 up and 3 down). Going down it will bottom out as lower plates come
into contact and it is shipped in this position. To setup for use, turn Knob Y until lower plates are separated by 2-3cm.
ADJUSTING THE STABILIZER
1. Grasp handles of FAM and loosen locking control knob on stabilizer.
